the other one

I came home this weekend for my dad's surprise birthday party. He has this girlfriend, who I've been pretty sure is the chick for him/his soulmate/other half for a little over three years now. It's obnoxiously reassuring. She set up the whole thing.

We've always lived right by the lake and it's been second nature to my dad's being. Whether it's spring, summer, fall or winter, my dad is interested in being on or around the lake. "the big lake" he says. Anyway, all summer long, my dad and lisa would sit at the beach around a fire chatting with the whole town my dad knows. It's perfect because this is exactly who my paps is.

So, his surprise birthday party... EVERYONE I've seen and/or talked to in the last three days that is in or around Mont is going. This includes mine and justin's friends. This is going to be purely awesome.

purest, simplest in form.

It focuses solely around bridging the gap between the visible and the invisible.

I have officially found an apartment.

Deee kitchen is huge. I'm going to need to find ANOTHER damn pub table to fit in that little bear. It has a fireplace, a patio AND a balcony. No pets are aloud in the building (thank god, i'm done with those for a while). AND I can paint. Be excited and come over.

censorship

It's interesting. Feeling censored is an interesting mix of ferocity meets fear. Not only ingenuine, but downright silly.

I was sort of talked into being a Cubs fan. You know, you're little... your dad has them on the radio eveeerryyy single day and you just fail to know any better. Who makes choices about sports teams when you're 7 years old? I don't even make those sort of decisions now. Anyway, my dad has always loved the cubs. I, in turn, despise the cubs after living in Wrigleyville for 8 months. Although, I used to take pictures of the Cubs playing while they were on TV. Who does that? We went to quite a few cubs games with my dad growing up too, but I actually tried to photograph a cubs game while it was on TV in my living room. I never got those developed. HAH. Too bad for that.

Tonight, I crashed at 10p at Kims and woke up at 3a. There sat Kimsonite reading her book. I tried to sleep, but couldn't. So now I'm uploading facebook photos from my trip. Check them out! It's now 6:30a and I'm only on the Brussels album. Ughh, this is RIDIC.

I really like weekends where I can hang out and not feel guilty about not doing homework. I like weekends where I do things I want to do, I see people I haven't seen in a bit, aaaand where I eat ice cream and fail at sleeping in even though I try.

Also, I miss bears and.... Technomic? you've got to be kidding me.
