brittney was here again this weekend. i am hereby making an honest statement when i say the next four weeks have to be dedicated to work. 90% work, 10% play.

-----
below; officially the second piece i've ever printed on a letterpress. the first was a print on the same plate, two weeks ago, but it was a practice run. this one- paper from neenah, an orange color, and i was wearing a letterpress apron.

i don't really get nervous to go to my internship. one thing that i was sketchy about tho is i've been at tech for almost three years, i know everyone and can get up and get coffee whenever i choose. i'm trusted and have proven myself time and time again so i'm kinda good to go. it was weird the first day walking into a new workplace. it was like starting everything from scratch. duh, but it's just weird when you're placed in it. i mean... after 3 years...

here are a few from saturday night [bug, beth, eddog, cannonballED and beth's main man];

new letterpress shirt; YAWM!
this, this was absolutely the best part of the whole weekend. gaga dance party.. what else?

a little after waking up yesterday, bug and me decided to tackle painting. we ran to home depot.. by the way, what is up with home depot? literally one of my favorite stores ever and you walk through the aisles wanting to date basically every employee there. however, there are alwaaays 20 employees in each aisle asking if you need help. everyone in that store is bored. home depot, however, is the one store that i don't mind being hassled by 15 men with tool belts asking if i'd care for any assistance. i may have a drill and occasionally be mrs. villa, but i really have 20 questions every time i'm there. so, we were there for a while..inevitably.

the important part, we grabbed a burnt orange color, some tape, trays, etc.. and then stopped in 15 other stores and got things like spice jars, oil and vinegar things, air fresheners, and i got a new shower curtain with a jungle of bamboo on it...YUM. we were total moms that day, getting excited about all of this stuff.

look at bug's new nike kicks-

she honestly didn't paint one bit. she taped and set down newspaper and did what i told her to do.

even the tape dominated her poor paw..

found this site; makesmethink.com

personally, i think it should be mademethink.com, but whatev. it's interesting. below are a few that caught my attention;

things worth remembering:
DL: I'm male, I lied :)
BB: he said back his favorite part of the night.
EF: you know damn well i'm good
EF: why are you acting like you're in love

stolen from meg'n:
"Inside The Actor's Studio".
She decided to look up the questions he asks at the end of every episode. Evidently those are just 10 from a very long list called the Proust Questionnaire, but here are the basic questions (thank you
http://www.vanityfair.com/magazine/archive/proust_questionnaire)

1. What is your idea of perfect happiness?
to countervail the masses, to invariably remember that all is possible and to never, under any condition, back down from compassing an adventurous journey- to not at all ravage or take advantage of the TRULY great people/places/things this world has to offer. That is what makes you one of the fortunate ones. This,... is being prosperous at its finest.

2. What is your greatest fear?
needles, being alone in dark water, cacti. in that order. oh, and bad dreams & scary movies because i'm a woss.

3. What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
i never take my contacts out and aside from this obviously being a serious health risk, it also has other negative impacts on my life. i look at computer screens all day obviously between work, school, homework and for personal enjoyment... i constantly have headaches and my eyes are always strained. dumbass.

4. What is the trait you most deplore in others?
Dishonesty, terrrrrible.

PATIENCE. who needs it?! better yet, who has it?

9. On what occasion do you lie?
I honestly don't know? i rarely ever lie.

10. What do you most dislike about your appearance?
i always have 500 bruises from soccer and because my skin is so white it's basically transparent paper, so they show up REAL GOOD ya dig!

11. Which living person do you most despise?
i dont despise anyone, but sure cats irritate meh

12. What is the quality you most like in a man?
jesus christ, have enough honesty to take initiative. you want to date me? great. tell me you dig me and then take me out. don't play this whole "we should hang out sometime" or i'm just going to talk to you all the time but not do anything about it. buck up, dude. your shit is weak.

13. What is the quality you most like in a woman?
independence. nothing is sexier than having your own style, passion, interests that you kick ass at.

14. Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
gah, like, sugar, boy, gurl, whatchu think, oh please, right, babygurl

15. What or who is the greatest love of your life?
i guess my big brother?

16. When and where were you happiest?
the past year of my life, it's been record-breaking almost scary astounding completely fabulous and absolutely and insanely spontaneous, adventurous, outrageously EXTREME.

17. Which talent would you most like to have?
wish i was a ballerina

18. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
freckle addition(s)!

19. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
i had a recommendation letter written for me about two weeks ago that knocked me off my feet. it made it all worth it.

20. If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be?

"Dancing to good music"- meg'n

26. What do you most value in your friends?
happiness and loyalty. i like hanging with people who inspire and challenge me. and i do the same for them. it's gotta work.

27. Who are your favorite writers?
if you would have asked me this four years ago, i could have given you a whole bookshelf. now?... i'm visual. i don't read as much as i should/used to.

28. Who is your hero of fiction?
batman

29. Which historical figure do you most identify with?
shoot, i have no idea

30. Who are your heroes in real life?
jane, she taught me how to love and be loved in return.

31. What are your favorite names?
anything that resembles but has nothing to do with the following: textures, pearls, old maps/globes, letterpress, bark.. you will never understand that unless you're ashten buxton or adam payne

32. What is it that you most dislike?
those times when you need a reset on life and everything/one around you, that's the worst

33. What is your greatest regret?
personal

34. How would you like to die?
don't even want to think about that now

35. What is your motto?
i have like 6:
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who could not hear the music.

It is fatal to know too much of the outcome; Boredom comes as quickly to the traveler who knows his route as to the novelist who is over-certain of his plot.-Paul Theroux
